I download some pets and sims with pets in the community and I can't merge them in a household or use them in cas. the pet's are not showing up. I download them in the community and transfer them in my game. If I merge them or replace my sims in cas the portrait where you can select the sims become unselectable and it says something like I can't because I'm playing with genetics?

Hello @shrclma,
Not 100% sure if it's really needed, but did you download/apply the latest 1.36.104.1020 patch, on your cracked Sims 4 installation?

Sorry for the belated response,
Can you tell us whether your game was working fine, BEFORE you installed "Cats & Dogs"? Or did you always have the problem...? Did you make sure to use WinRAR for extraction, if you downloaded from G4TW?

Does your computer meet the minimum hardware requirements for that DLC?

Re: Gallery Problems.
Yeah. it has something to do with cat's and dogs. my game is working fine before I installed it. I always use winrar and I download The Sims here. I also meet the minimum requirement. If I created the pets myself it's fine. It's just the pet's that I downloaded that are the problem I think.

Have you followed up with the more recent DLC, since then? (Laundry Day Stuff, Jungle Adventures). Keep in mind that the game version those items were downloaded with, was...I actually don't remember anymore. But it must have been something "later" than 1.36.104.1020.
If you download items from the thread here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t31771-new-update-on-the-ts4-gallery-please-read-updated-on-06-03-2018
Note how every .rar has a patch number in its filename? That's the game version (of my legit Origin game), that the item in question had been downloaded with. So the cracked game version should be at least on the same patch level.
I'm also now noticing that this particular aspect does not come across all too well in the announcement, so I will improve the guide later on.
Edit: in case you are downloading the Gallery items on your own basegame, the same applies still. The legal Origin-TS4 will mostly be "higher" in terms of its patch version, than the cracked ones. If that happens, you should just download the Gallery items, and if you intend to put them in a cracked game, you need to wait for a new patch. So that both your cracked & legit Origin game "match" in terms of patch version.

Re: Gallery Problems.
Yes. I followed up with the recent packs and it's still doing it. I tried with the sims with pet's I download back then and it's still the same. so those should probably work right but it's not. I download it from my base game.

I was also thinking about the possibility that the households you downloaded may use some kind of custom content (that you don't have installed), but that's probably not a sufficient explanation, since there should be at least one household with pets, that should work for you.
Alas, I'm afraid I can't suggest more on here. Maybe someone else has a better idea though.

Re: Gallery Problems.
I think it has something to do with mods or hacks.
As it's "dealing with genetics"

Removing mods sometimes doesn't cut it, because they leave behind "trails" in the form of so-called cache files. To be 100% sure, temporarily rename the entire "The Sims 4" folder under Documents\Electronic Arts.
Start up the game, create a temporary new household, then try using the downloaded Gallery items on that new folder "The Sims 4".

Re: Gallery Problems.
Did you try running the batch fixes sims4studio supplies? You have to register at that site, but its really a cool tool to have. I run it after every update and there are always things that need fixing.

Re: Gallery Problems.
I have the same issue glad im not the only I've been googling for a fix but nothing. I removed cc/mods as well and still the same issue. I'm not sure if it started with this new patch or it was a problem before, because i have the new patch for my first pet stuff. I was thinking of reinstalling cuz that unfortunately fixes alot of issues but it's a hassle hopefully someone knows how to solve it

I did what you said and just move my entire tray folder to the new one and it's still doing the same.

I already did. I already do batch fixes when I download new mods/cc's.
//EDIT
I'm going to try to install everything again. It will took me awhile as I also have to download the installers again. Maybe something break while downloading it.

^ it is rare though, that the download process "breaks" something. Even so, if you want to go that way, please consider using a different bittorrent client, than you used initially.
Also, it is easier to download this here:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t32895-the-sims-4-all-in-one-including-my-first-pet-stuff-version-1-41-38-1020
Because in filesize it is smaller than the individual G4TW releases. Don't know by how much, but yes. You can also extract the folder, from that .ISO, and put it under C:\Program files (x86).

Filesize of all-in = 26.5 GB
Almost 30 GB less to download

Re: Gallery Problems.
Or, they can download the ZLOrigin installation and use a cracked "Game"-folder; that should also be good.

Re: Gallery Problems.
Yes, but today I experienced problems with both Origin and ZLOrigin.The_gh0stm4n wrote:Or, they can download the ZLOrigin installation and use a cracked "Game"-folder; that should also be good.
Also, by default Origin/ZLOrigin is putting the Sims 4 folder inside the folder Origin Games or ZLOrigin Games.
Just adding a game_cracked in there will result in the notorious Origin not running error.
Nowadays that cracks come quicly after the release of new DLC's I'm tempted to stick to cracked games only.
Nevertheless I'm soon going to write a new manual on how to combine Origin, ZLOrigin and cracked in 1 directory.
