Sims 4 - Can't change outfit or travel

So recently I installed all of the sims 4 games/patches and since I've done this before, I thought that it would be no problem. When in game I try to travel, but nothing happens. The same for change outfit. I'm not really sure what is preventing me from this problem? I have no CC or any mods, I keep restarting the game (deleting the sims 4 document) and everything else I can think of. I did add a new game folder because my world map was blank.. Maybe that's the problem? I really don't want to delete the whole game and it's packs and re- install everything again  . Hopefully there is an solution!
