Attempting to connect

Hello, I just finished installing everything in the guide (sucks that we can't skip EPs, ah) and well I tried to click on one of the packs and it told me to go online so i clicked it but it just keeps giving me an error 
why would that be?

To start the game you must click on TS4.exe or TS4_x86.exe in the folder The Sims 4\Game\Bin or a shortcut thereof.
