Previous update OR help?
Hi all,
I'm genuinely going crazy with how long I've spent on this issue.
I'm having the ol' OrangeEmu.dll problem and I've tried everything. I've even installed Windows 7 as opposed to Windows 10 just to see if there was a different. I've got no Anti Virus and have done soooooo many different things to get this running. I even tried the zOrigin method but it wouldn't work.
SO, I was wondering, does anyone have links to the download for Sims 4 Deluxe + all DLCs BEFORE this problem started happening? I remember back in Feb I downloaded on another computer and it was fine, but for some reason this one is just pooping itself all the time. I've tried SOOO MANY METHODS IT'S NOT FUNNY.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Previous update OR help?
Hi Tarac, thanks for the speedy reply! Am I to understand that this method will not evoke the OrangeEmu.dll problem? I see the warning on the weebly page saying my AV will disable OrangeEmu and I'm worried that will happen again, since it's something I simply cannot get around for some reason.

Re: Previous update OR help?
On the 2nd link, bottom of the page, you'll see how to avoid the OrangeEmu.dll problem
ANTI-VIRUS
You say that you don't have AV installed but it looks like Windows Defender is still activeMost probably your anti-virus will attack the files OrangeEmu.dll en OrangeEmu64.dll.
You must place the folder Game under the exceptions of your anti-virus.
In case your AV has already disabled these files, you can re-download these HERE.
Download, copy the Winrar file to your folder Game\Bin and extract there.

Re: Previous update OR help?
I've manually disabled it using the regedit method and I'm still having the issue. I feel like I can't possibly disable it anymore than I already have

Re: Previous update OR help?
I'll try to explain with pictures as I don't have Windows in English:
1. Step one
Go to the righthand taskbar near the clock/date
Click on the "shield" next to the ^sign.
2. Step 2
Click on the marked item
3. Step 3
Click on the red marked item
4. Step 4
To temporarily switch off the realtime safeguard click to off
5. Step 5
To add a file/folder to the exceptions:
6. Step 6
Click on the + to add an exception

Hello and welcome to the Forum,
Did you mean to say you used the method here, to disable Windows Defender?
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t32067-two-ways-of-disabling-windows-defender-under-windows-10
If so, that method is better in my opinion than manually adding exclusions. Maybe it (a.k.a. this problem) is not related at all, to antivirus issues, but at that point I can't say much else, I'm sorry.
What I would suggest though is to have another look at the installed programs on your computer. You'd be surprised how "new programs" are suddenly there. Did you use any free software recently, for example? Oftentimes these free programs are financed through ad-revenue, and they tend to contain installers for other unwanted stuff. If you indeed used such a thing recently, chances are that you quickly clicked through the installer windows and you overlooked the window where it says "I would like to install additional programs". And so these things get installed; sometimes that can be another antivirus program.
Again, that is only a theory from me, and a possible avenue for you to explore.
