Plumbob Lamp Keeps Popping Up at Main Menu

Hi, I am not sure if this is the correct thread but here is my problem:
Every time I start the game the Plumbob Lamp always appear and at first i thought it was okay but as time past by it kinda gets annoying This happened when I installed the 1.41 patch and it is still a problem in 1.42

Hello and welcome to the Forum @JellyCakes2000,

That is a known problem with the crack, it seems, and I'm afraid I can't suggest much else at the moment, other than "swallow it", and let's hope it gets better with the next crack/update.

Thanks for the reply The_gh0stm4n I hope it fixes in the next update.
I have another problem about Time Jump too, should I open another topic for it?

"Time Jump"? What is that?   (and yes, you can continue in this thread here!)

So every time everyone is sleeping or away there is like a 4x time speed and instead of the time continuing it just go back and bounces for example: i fast forward at 10:00 instead of going up to 11:00 it just bounces back to 10:30 or when i fast forwarded from 10:00 and stop the fast forward at 12:00, instead of 12:00 it bounces back again.

Allegedly the error was "fixed" in an earlier patch version. But seems not.

If the error really annoys you, try saving your sims family to the "Library". Then start a fresh savegame, and put your sims family from the Library, into the new game.

yeah i am playing with a new save right now and the issue is still present.

I have the same exact issue here! I can't use the third or fourth fast forward option or it jumps back in time. 
What I usually do is hit on the play button several times when it wants to fast forward (when they go to sleep).
Then I use the second fast forward option to go a bit fast through time. For now that's the only workaround I found until they fix this issue with the third and fourth fast forward option.
