Sims 4 cheats

So, I've been downloading stuff from this forum for quite some time, and I have all the expansion packs from this site. Now, my problem is that cheats have stopped working for me ? Idk why, but I type in testingcheats code and then it says that it's on, but I still can't max my skills or anything like that?
Is it just for me, or.. ?

Plus, the new 1.44.88.1020 patch that we are going to release (soon), restores the object-reset cheat.
Maybe they removed these cheats in the first place, so as to increase "engagement" with the gameplay, as compared to powering through the game by maxing out everything.
