Can you show me the step-by-step of installing?

Im sorry but im new here and currently im downloading the game based from the link https://www.games4theworld.club/t21806-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-4-correctly#.

Currently Im done in Step #2 and about to go to Step #3, however, Im not sure how will I proceed. After I download the "The Sims 4: Get to Work" expansion pack(not sure if this is a rar file that needs to be extracted as well), lets say it needs to be extracted, to which folder should it be saved/extracted? Should it be go to C:\Program Files\? Or C:\Users\(your username)\Downloads\?

Next, lets say it is extracted in any of the two path, does it have a setup.exe file that should be clicked? And then, install it to what folder?

Sorry but im not very good at picking up instruction to the point that after I clicked a file, i dont know what the next step is, like where should I install it, which folder is it, something like that. Sorry for being ignorance at this.  An images/preview(after clicking a certain file) will help me to understand the steps. Thank you and sorry for inconvenience.

Now I got the error message " Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one." which I installing the TS4.

Reboot the computer. This will ensure all installations are closed. If you want to install all DLCs I suggest using different release. FitGirl made a repack that weights 17,9GB. You can also take a look at my repack.

After installing one of these you could just go back to G4TW releases. And general instructions for G4TW releases after the base game are the same: extract and copy correct folders ("Game", "__Installer", "Data", "Delta" and DLC folders: "EP*", "SP*", "GP*") to your installation directory. If you are using G4TW's items, you can open the .rar and directly extract the contents of the .rar, into the folder that contains your base game of The Sims 4 (the location with __Installer, Data, Game, Support, etc.). After extracting, please overwrite all existing files; just choose "replace files in the destination" or whatever the wording is.

First you'd have to decide which way you want to go. Do you want all DLCs? Then download the individual G4TW torrents or Tarac's all-in-one (the latter is simpler to do, I guess).

Or if you only want certain DLCs, look at anadius' downloads.

Either way, yes you can download them first before actually installing them.

Just a thought, you've mentioned that after the download I have to overwrite all the files. If that were the case, based on Sim Architect's video(https://www.games4theworld.club/t33418-the-sims-4-seasons-games4theworld-update-version-video-tutorial) about showing how overwriting the files I noticed that the folder had the folders of previous updates(packs), Im just wondering why not download the last update(The Sims 4: Seasons) only since it has all the previous updates folder inside it?

I just got home, tried to turn off and on my laptop but still got the error message "Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one."  



Here's whats happening, tried clicking it once but after that it looks like blinking like I'd click it several times but there's none. Only one is running. Not sure if that is the caused.

Also, i have TS4 saved in my laptop but its on D Drive. Will that affect?

It looks like you installed the Mr. DJ version of the Sims 4 and not the G4TW version.

Yup, I did have that Mr. DJ version since Dec 2017. Not sure if that is the reason why I cant install the G4TW version. Like only one version is allowed to be installed even though the Mr. DJ version is installed in D Drive?

It's been awhile since I've played the Sims 4.  I saw the latest update which was August 18, 2018, and my question is can I download the latest update and it includes everything.  I haven't yet downloaded jungle stuff, pets or seasons.  Or will I need to go back and download those downloads before I can get the latest update? Or is there somewhere to download all of them in one download? Any help would be appreciated.  Thank you for your assistance.

The only problem I can think of is that the Mr.DJ version lets you free to choose the install location (in your case D).
The G4TW base game ALWAYS goes to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4.
Once the basegame is installed you MUST MOVE (not copy)  the folder The Sims 4 out of Electronic Arts to anywhere else on your computer.

1. Yes you must download and install all missing DLC's up to and incl. Seasons before you can install the latest update 1.46.18.1020
2. There is an all-in-one torrent download for the Sims 4 that includes all DLC's and also patch 1.46.18.1020. (see HERE)

Yea, if I remember correctly when installing the sims way back dec 2017 I did choose to install it at D Drive. So you think removing the Mr.DJ version would fix this?

Doubt it. It's something with your computer or with G4TW installer, but I never had this issue.

BTW if you already have some The Sims 4 version installed why won't you use my installer to download and install the rest of DLCs and the newest patch? Download "_setup.exe" and some small DLC (SP's are small) to check if my installer works first.

You mean to say that I should let the Mr. DJ version stay there and just download the rest of DLC excluding the DLC packs present in the folder? or should I overwrite everything?

Also, what do you mean "newest patch"? The color in red?


How about the color in blue? Should I skip that file? And in which folder I can find this "_setup.exe"?

Nope, it's all done through "_setup.exe". You just download what you want (in your case skip "base-files.bin" and .bin files for DLCs you already have: EP01, FP01, GP01, GP02, SP01, SP02, SP03) and then run "_setup.exe", as stated in "installation" section.

Oh ok. I will skip all "base-files.bin and .bin files for DLCS I already have and the rest I should download it. I will do this once I get home. Currently at work.

BTW, all the files can be found on this one link right? Im using torrent bcos I'll be downloading while Im asleep. Making sure that I wont get any error during the downloading and while sleeping.

Hey, my installation went through and now Im installing update(I have to hold off the guides you provided, I'll try to stick for the main guide with 19 steps for now and see)

So i successfully installed the Get-to-Work pack, and now installing Get together pack. However at first, even though I already put the said directory in the exception list of my Anti-virus, is still being detected so what I did is to restore it. 



So after installing/replacing the Get together pack and about to run the game, I got an error "Unable To Start: Origin is currently not running". Did some searching about the error and I saw Tarac guide.



1. I dont know what is this "Origin" is, but all I know is I dont have any Sims games running at all.
2. As you can see on the 1st image, my game is saved on C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4
3. I've restored the RldOrigin.dll from my anti-virus(see my 1st image again, its in there)
4. Haven't done it. Promise.

But looking on Reason 2, does this mean I have  The Sims 4 folder to move out of Electronic Arts folder, like I should move it to C:\Program Files (x86)? Please confirm. Because based on the guide, moving it out is the last step(step #17). So just wondering why moving it out so early.

Yes, move it to "C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 4" or "C:\Program Files\The Sims 4".
