Updating Sims 4?

I've installed The Sims 4 and all expansions, according to the instructions provided.

I've also downloaded and installed the most recent update for The Sims 4, but the GameVersion.txt continues to display my version as: 

Code:

   1.44.77.1020

 

• I have not erased the old game folder, but have renamed it into 'Backup Game Folder'
  
• I have erased all files pertaining to Origins.
  

Is this a rare occurance, or can anybody help me update my game?

Did you read the purple text on the bottom of Update 1.46 thread?

I'm not sure what Origin files you deleted (you shouldn't delete any from G4TW releases) but it doesn't matter. Delete "Game" and "Backup Game Folder", then download "Game" folder from post I linked.

GameVersion.txt will not change until you play the game again.
