Sims 4 closes without error message after selecting household (with report)

Help! I've had a series of errors some of which I fixed from advice from here but I can't seem to crack this one! (I'm thinking I have messed up somewhere when trying to fix a previous problem.)

First I had an error code (124 I think) - I reinstalled seasons and this went away. I updated to the newest patch and then I couldnt select a world. It was just blank. Updated the game folder and this went away.

Now I can load up the game select the household I want to play and a loading screen comes up and after a few minutes it just closes without any warning or error message.

The thing is you didn't install the latest patch, which is 1.46.18.1020. You have just the "Game" folder from that one. Download it from here: https://www.games4theworld.club/t33940-the-sims-4-update-version-1-46-18-1020-out-now
