Game freezing before even loading into worlds. [SOLVED]

Hi all! Thanks in advance for taking the time to read.

I am running Windows 7, i7-4790k @ 4 GHz, 16GB RAM, GTX 980 so I'm thinking these issues aren't from incapable hardware 

Yesterday I downloaded and installed The Sims 3 Complete Collection and The Sims 3 Complete Store from here. I was able to get them working and played fine for about an hour last night. I tried to play this morning however, and the game was unbearable. 

First, just wanted to get out of the way that I installed all EPs and SPs, updated with the patch and replaced TS3W.exe file with cracked version. I also installed to a separate hard drive (I run windows on a smaller SSD and have games installed on 2TB hard drive) and made sure I followed the guide on this website for setting up the correct folders. The store collection was working fine when I was playing last night as well. Everything was working. 

Upon launching the game this morning, I received a pop-up message saying I had an "unofficial game modification" that was out of date and it was recommended that I don't launch the game. I did anyways because I figured it was part of the Complete Store or something. From even the launch, the game is freezing for about ten seconds at a time and only working for maybe one. I tried to get into my save to see if I could do anything to fix it and to no avail (it also took me over 45 minutes to get into the save just from all the freezing!) 

I have done multiple things to try and solve this. After some searching I found suggestions saying to change some Nvidia settings(which made the game work for about 20 seconds and then back to this same problem), trying the resetSim * cheat (which didn't solve the problem), using some Nraas mods which clean up the neighborhood (didn't help my problem either). 

If anyone has any idea what the heck could be going on, I'd appreciate the help! Thanks so much for your time!

Did you try the tweak about the "DEP exclusions"?

Also you said trying to use the "resetsim cheat", implying that - at some point? - you eventually managed to load into that save. But have you tried creating a fresh savefile, and loading into that?
