Sims 3 loads then crashes

After yesterday when I couldn't start the game up (got the no disc error), I reapplied the fix, following everything and my game is patched to the latest updates. Yesterday when playing the game crashed 3 times after 10 minutes of play randomly, I'd be playing then just suddenly it's crashed. Today I've gone on to the game again and here is what I see: click and when loading my game it's just this: click and half way through loading the game crashes. I thought it was custom content so I removed it all but still nothing. I've just updated all my drivers also Sims 3 loads then crashes 2830496658

What about Mods, do you have any?
Do you get an error when the game crashes?

I have no mods, I removed them all and the only message I get is "Sims 3 has stopped working" and that's it

Hello,
Double check your video drivers, just to make sure they're up to date. I've found this thread on EA's own help forums, its the same issue as yours. You never know what comes up if you scan through it.

Well I did another check and all my drivers are updated to the latest one, I'll try again though

I have the same problem, I tried using the compatibility and the dep stuff but no results in the begining it shows the same picture as the one posted by angelling31 and then when i either select a new game or load an existing game it starts loading and then crashes before the bar reaches the end it crashes at about 10% filled.
I don't have any mods

Yeah I also tried the compatibility and dep stuff and it still doesn't work and seems no one has a solution so far Sad

Hello,
I think your best bet is to uninstall and try again. But before you do something so drastic, you want to do this first:

1. Go to: (My) Documents\Electronic Arts\
2. Backup (Read: copy to an other folder) the folder called "The Sims 3".
3. Now completely remove the "The Sims 3" folder from: (My) Documents\Electronic Arts\
4. Start the game and see if it works now.

This makes the game think its a fresh installation and all the folders in your documents with their files are created fresh by the game.
If its still a problem, I suggest a complete uninstall (using youruninstallerpro). Don't forget to restart your pc before reinstalling.
After it's reinstalled, you can get your save games back from the folder you copied during step 2 (see above).

I did the deleting folder and tested before I uninstalled, once I get my Internet back I will install again, thanks for your help
