Original base TS4 with only Seasons torrented.

Hi, 
So I downloaded Seasons expansion from TBB(repack version v1.46.18.1020 and cracked by CODEX; 08/2018),  installed and the error says version is not up to date with my TS4 base (installed yesterday). Is there a way to update this expansion only and continue with original base? I was searching answers and reddit brought me here, opened my eyes to the huge complexity of this whole thing and I doubt there is a way, probably didn't even get a right thing. (I chose 1 expansion only cause im not intrested in all of them)

Hello and welcome to the G4TW Forums first of all @Mepsien,


The easy way would be to look specifically for an All-In-One on The PirateBay that already has an updated base game + DLCs. Most other repackers just keep re-uploading entire TS4 installations with DLC, and you can't be selective about your stuff.

But if you want to give the stuff from G4TW a try, do as follows.

So what you want to do at first is to go to your installation-folder of The Sims 4 (the place from where you start the game). Look for a "Game"-subfolder. It should be about 150MB in size. You will want to delete that folder. Or at least move it someplace else. Then you grab the Global Patch from the topic here:

Just open with 7-zip and extract all contents over your existing TS4 installation. Replace existing files when prompted. Then grab anadius's dlc-toggler, and place the files inside your installation folder of TS4, same location where your __Installer, Data, Game, etc. subfolders are.

Now here comes the slightly tricky part. You can now try re-installing whatever patch you already grabbed from TPB. But I have a suspicion you will end up with error messages, and it will mess up your previous step (with the Global Patch). Your call. If there is indeed a problem, then just re-copy and re-paste the Global Patch.

And instead, grab the "EP05 - Seasons" download from the page I linked to. You can use the direct download, or the "DLC files" torrent folder (which has all DLCs). Once you downloaded the thing, extract again with 7-zip, and place the "EP05"-folder again inside your TS4 installation. This time I don't think you have to replace any existing files. Just add/merge that EP05-folder to your existing stuff.

Final step: start up anadius's dlc-toggler.exe, and look at the list that comes up. If you did everything correctly so far, all your DLCs - minus Seasons - should be in red color. Just tick the box next to the white DLC entry (Seasons), and close the dlc-toggler then. Your result, if you did everything right, should be a fully-updated base game with only the Seasons DLC.

Feel free to familiarize yourself with that format on the page I linked to. There is an in-depth text guide as well as a video walkthrough. And yes, we use these ads on most of our download links, to help us finance the hosting, domains, etc. associated with G4TW, see this for details.

If anything is unclear please ask before doing stuff on your own. But it should be straightforward. You have to configure antivirus exclusions as well, but I think meanwhile most people know about this already. Good luck!

I have 2 questions now: 

1. I uninstalled this expansion that I got (I wanted to play a game and didn't think it will work). Now, I will apply the Global Patch, the dlc toggler and then the EP downloaded from here instead. Is this the correct order of doing things? (well, that's the exact order you advised but I just want to make sure that this previously installed expansion will not interfere with new installation/s)
2. Since I have TS4 from origin with origin on my PC, how do I play the game without trigerring Origin to start running with the game and messing up stuff?

Hello again,

Doesn't matter what you have already installed (in terms of TS4). All that the 'Global Patch' does is to update your base game, kind of. If you want an order of doing things, then I suggest this, though I think I may have said a variation of that already:

1) Delete your existing "Game"-subfolder inside your TS4 installation (!!!)
2) Apply Global Patch
3) Place anadius's dlc-toggler inside your TS4 installation
4) If you want additional DLCs (beyond the stuff you already had, prior to applying the Global Patch), then grab them from the thread with the Global Patch, and apply them. If you don't want extra DLC, then skip this step.
5) Now use the dlc-toggler, and toggle all white DLC entries ON.
6) Done!

Note that the whole system is intended to be used with cracked basegames. I assume you already did, but in case not. Just make sure to have the Origin basegame and your (cracked) TS4 installation in two separate folder paths. When you hear a new update or DLC comes out, try to NOT update your Origin game, until the crack "catches up" with the new Origin patch version.

You simply start your cracked TS4 by going inside your TS4 install folder, then under Game => Bin => TS4_x64.exe. You can/should also create a desktop shortcut from that file. Make sure to double-check your Windows Defender & other antivirus exclusions, before applying the Global Patch, as these crack-files get purged very often.

@The_gh0stm4n ok, everything works (only added exclusion to the game location path on windows defender). I decided to just uninstall the Origin game and went full G4TW. I just noticed that tiny living is by default checked in dlc toggler despite not having it, is it intended or should I uncheck it?

Wait, is it? Oops, looks like I made a small mistake when compiling the Global Patch.

No, that was not intended, but it's not a big deal. If you don't have Tiny Living installed (i.e. that DLC is in a red color, in the dlc-toggler-menu), then just tick it off, like the other red dlc-entries.
