Sims not appearing in CAS/New Game.

Hey, just downloaded the new All-in-One files, figured it'd be easier to update after missing 3 patches. I followed all the steps exactly, turning off my antivirus, etc. Deciding to start a new game, I encountered this:

The "shadow" sim moves, but otherwise is uncontrollable. If I click the Galley button it brings up the splash for when you're offline, and I can toggle the list button green and not again, but that's it. I have to task manager my way out of the game. I recall seeing this when a message pops up asking if you want to answer questions about your sim, and then when you say no a properly featured sim loads, but I have left it at this for 30 min and it is still this shadow, so something is preventing that step.

At first I thought it was mods so I removed those to a backup. When that didn't work I tried clearing my caches and then starting a fresh Documents folder. Latest step was backing up everything, uninstalling and deleting all the folders on my PC, then doing a full "reinstall" and trying again. Basegame file works, and it works after doing the update files, though it gives me the "dlc files downloading" message as expected. When I copy the DLC files over is seemingly where it starts, as the game loads without the "downloading files" message but then gives me the shadow sim when I start a new game.

PC has 16gb RAM and an 8GB vid card, and was running it all fine, with a few gigs of mods, before I tried the new all-in-one format. Last setup was all-in-one as well, but back when it was arranged differently. Any help is greatly appreciated Smile

Now I'm curious though. By "All-In-One", are you referring to Sim Architect's download, or the "Global Patch system"?

Hey Gh0st, I downloaded the files from this page: https://www.games4theworld.club/t35810-the-sims-4-all-in-one-global-patch-selectable-dlcs-version-1-61-15-1020-tiny-living-stuff

I first installed the basegame, then deleted the Game folder, then applied the Global Patch and replaced when prompted, then added each DLC individually and replaced when prompted, then moved the dlc enabler into the Sims 4 folder and ran it. It gave me a small window with all the DLC listed and checked, no red as I put everything in. After that, I ran the game and tried to make a new game, where I got to this screen. 30 min later, the sim is still moving in place but nothing else loaded, as pictured

Hello again and sorry for the belated reply,

The format in itself is working, as has been confirmed by (some) other users. Which in your case leads me to believe something may have gone wrong with the download itself. Did you use the torrent version of the new format, or the direct downloads? If you used torrents, did you use a 'proper' torrenting client such as qBittorrent, Tixati, Deluge or Transmission?

Also try running anadius's validator here and post the results in your next reply, as it can give us more insights as to where exactly we need to work on:

Hello @rtim,

For now try re-downloading or at least re-extracting the "Global Patch". If you use the torrent version, please make sure to use a 'better' torrent client (qBittorrent, Tixati, etc). If you - have to - use the direct download version, make sure it's properly imported to your own GoogleDrive, and re-download it from there.
