hello again i apologize that i'm a complete idiot i probably should have spent more time learning smart internet stuff and less time playing the sims and running my mouth on irc but here we are

can someone please confirm before i buy the monthly that if i get the direct download i will NOT need a vpn??

Yes, it's true, you don't need a vpn for direct downloads.
Of course it's totally up to you to subscribe to the Architect's website.

Once you are up-to-date it is quite simple to add new DLC's to your game via G4TW for free.
The new G4TW-system makes it even easier than before.

P.S. that is indeed a benefit of direct downloads: you will avoid the 'snooping' of hostile people/organizations, as is typical with public torrent swarms. Personally I still prefer using torrents + a good VPN, whenever possible, because torrents are a lot more stable and reliable than direct downloads. And you can safely pause/interrupt torrent downloads, anytime. Then again, this is just a personal opinion. And some people may not want or be able to put extra money into a good VPN.

thanks. i can't imagine how i would have done the updates wrong - it's just moving folders, but of course i just have new bugs, and the old ones fixed.  Uh oh Uh oh Uh oh i'm lazy and prefer to just do a new all in one every time ;x
