CAW problem.

I'm not quite sure if this is the proper place to post this, but I've been using this forum a lot (unregistered) and it seems there's a lot of people wise on the sims 3 here. Now I've installed the sims with all expansions (-master suite & outdoor living) and it's all working fine, I'm cracked and up to date and generally don't have problems with these kind of things but as I started creating my neighbourhood and eventually needed to edit in-game, I'm being asked for my product key. If I block the request in my firewall, I get the message that I need to be online to verify. I got the official EA link bypassing login from this site, I've been looking all around for a crack or a cracked version but it seems there is no such thing. If anyone can shed some light on my situation I'd be grateful, I'd hate having to finish my neighbourhood without EIG. Thanks a lot in advance, and please do message me if I've posted this in the wrong place, or for accidentally overlooked a rule.

Well what I'm getting isn't exactly an error, it's just trying to connect to EA and authorize my game whenever I try to EIG.



@Lady ElDi, I never said anywhere that I have to redownload it, I just installed it for the first time a couple days ago when I realised I never bothered playing because the neighbourhoods are boring. That's what I've been doing, making my neighbourhood, exporting, checking ingame for problems etc, then going back to caw continuing my work but as you can see it's a bothersome process and there's a lot of things that I'm having problems with, like the fog emitter and the EA default lot sizes. I know there's ways to do it without EIG but it's taking a hell of a long time.

Oh and by the way, I didn't install the ultimate fix because I've had a lot of problems with updating and cracking my game, so now it's finally working I decided to just leave it that way.
I think this is where I got the caw games4theworld.bestgoo t397-the-sims-3-create-a-world as it's the only one that would work for me. Except the in game editing.

I've created a restore point and I'm gonna try the ultimate fix now. I'd just like to know a bit more about what it actually does.

Actually caw executes ts3.exe which for some reason isn't craced for me. It's only the launcher and the ts3w.exe it uses when you press the play button. Now I just don't know how to proceed to get a crack for ts3.exe.. what do I need?

Right I tried the ultimate fix a couple times and it doesn't do it for me. Instructions followed etc, but my game was already cracked, don't know if that makes a difference. I'm not in a position to redownload and reinstall, so hopefully someone's got an idea what I can do :-D

Did you update your game during the Fix?

My game was already updated.. 1.29.55, launcher confirmed this :-) Won't I just need a cracked ts3.exe compatible with the rest of them

Thanks for the tip but I don't have eadm/origins either. I tried running the game from the ts3.exe that caw uses and it tried to authorize. If I run it through ts3w.exe it doesn't. Do you know if there's a way to make caw edit ingame through ts3w instead of ts3? Or, if I reinstall my game (I found I hadn't deleted the isos after all) and don't use the reloaded cracks, but use the ultimate fix instead will that be alright or will I need to dl the specific g4tw version?

As I stated previously I tried it out and it didn't work? I suppose it wasn't compatible with my already cracked game or so?

Hmm I don't think I've done anything special.. I installed my game, installed 1.29.55, then cracked tsw3 and host.dll per reloaded instructions and then installed caw from here.. The only thing I can think of is that it uses a different exe than the one the launcher uses and so has not been cracked.. Insanely stressful, I'd just like to finish my neighbourhood, haha. Appreciate the help

I'll try downloading it, having some trouble with my net here.. I'll have to uninstall my game though, won't I? Which isn't a problem as long as my CAW files will be compatible afterwards.

I'm sick of it not working so I'm re downloading it all and using your installation guide and fix. But, when I've done that, how do I install caw and can you link me the proper download, because I think I'll cut my eyes out with a spoon if I get another 'Important Message! The registration code is invalid for this product!'.
It will take a few more hours (I'm on a shit connection) but it should be alright if I use t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly

Thanks for the offer, I might take you up on that. By the way is there a guide on how to save lots from the bin when uninstalling? I made a few that would take immense work to recreate and I'd rather avoid that..

-I always restart and check the registry for keys and whatnot, it's a problem too often :-!

^I did do a search on how to back up your save, but I don't have a save as I've not actually played the game. I just exported and loaded my neighbourhood, built a house that fit on the lots I'd put down, saved a copy of that lot to library and exited without saving so I'm not sure how to keep those.

My "edit in game" starts with TS3W.exe, so that's probably your problem right there.
I'd suggest redownloading and reinstalling the world tool.
Do you have all the expansions?
I do think that having the latest fix and patch is a good idea.
You can save your lots by exporting them as if you were going to upload them to the exchange, but if you back up your save games, the lots are there.

Thanks! I already reinstalled it and it's still using TS3.exe, that's strange. I couldn't find any file or anything to edit which .exe it should use so I'm a bit at a loss. So .. weird.

Right.. It's sort of fixed. My man suggested moving ts3 out of game/bin and renaming ts3w.exe to ts3.exe so caw would use that instead.. it works but I have to rename and move files back and forth every time I want to play.. Oh well. I'm getting your sims anyway for next time stuff fucks up..
