I keep on getting a message every hour or so with, "Sims 3 has stopped working" Then the game crashes. I have to go back and redue everything. I attached a crash log, as I have no idea what it mean Sims 3 has stopped working. [SOLVED] 1577371209

Yeah the people at modthesims like to say its cause my computer is not good enough to run it when it runs completely fine and has no issues there. Just likes to crash and make playing the sims difficult.. Doesnt even happen often just when it does I'm building a house and I have to start over lol. Pain in the butt. But I'll try what you guys said. My computer meets all requirements perfectly btw, except I have 4 gb of ram and not 2. But that should help it IMO.

I and I have the first 2 days crashes not any more it runs now for 1 week and 5 days perfect i am game at least 4 hours a day.

That you're not experiencing any problems doesn't mean it's uncommon to have problems. I was barely having problems myself until recently.

They'll tell you lots of things over at modthesims, if its not your pc, you have the wrong version of windows, or used your left hand to turn on the pc in stead of the right Laughing

Don't ever tell them you're using a crack because your pc will actually blow up if you do. < Sarcasm

The DEP is data execution prevention. Here's an instruction video.

Okay I did all the DEP and it didnt help at all. No custom content still, just trying to keep in minimum till its fixed. Although I did see one fail scripts now.

Now it says:

Wait hold on to the pants! I'm going to download CCleaner and do the reg stuff and see if it fixes anything, I just noticed that in the new error script it says "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\igdumd32.dll" Looks like there might be a prob with that .dll file and I believe CCleaner fixes them issues.

Does that seem like a reliable fix? I'm 1 and a half hours in, no crash. Min everything in preform as well. I'll keep sims open for 24hours. If there's no crash ill report back and come up with a solution for all .dll errors

Also I used te sims 3 crash log analyzer and it says something about increasing userVA to 2560 and update the game to 1.17/2.12/3.8/4.5/5.2 or newer. And I believe I'm on the newest update, so it would have to be the userVA thing. How about to I go changing that? It has still yet to crash though

I don't know what that is, but I always like to say "If it isn't broken, don't try to fix it" so as long as the game doesn't crash, I wouldn't make any changes.
