Sims 3 Ambitons help

i already have the sims 3 on my computer and i downloaded your ambitions torrent today. firstly, is it possible to just install ambitions without the other EP's?
also do i need your base version of the game or is the version i already have installed fine?

anyway, i then opened the "sims3ep02setup.exe" file and it keeps coming up with this error message and i have no idea what it means:

Yes, you can only Install Ambitions and leave the others.
No, you can Install our version of Ambitions with any other base Game.

You probably opened the .rar file using a different Program than WinRar. .rar Files should be opened using WinRar - Which can be downloaded from www.games4theworld.org - otherwise the files get messed up.

yeah i was using bitzipper. thanks, it all works fine now

i went back and decided to also install world adventures and high end loft stuff. now i have another problem. im currently on world adventures and im up to the bit of the installation with crack 3, it has loads of patches. ive extracted 3 so far and tried to install them but each time it has come up with an error saying invalid file found (or something along those lines)

Did you end up installing Ambitions? You need to install the games in this order:

The Sims 3 -> WA -> HELS -> Ambitions

You can't mix'n'flip the installation order.

Invalid File would mean you've cracked the game at some point. Either you have a copy of the original files (made by YOU), or you need to uninstall and reinstall and follow the installation order + directions.

i uninstalled ambitions before i began WA and i followed the installation guide but when i get to the bits in crack 3 it says invalid file each time.

As following:

1. Uninstall The Sims 3.
2. Restart your PC.
3. Reinstall The Sims 3.
4. Install WA.
5. Install Ambitions. (Otherwise the launcher won't work)
6. The Game should work fine now.
