The Sims 3: Ambitions error (0x039e8474) fix. [CLOSED]

I followed the steps and was doing fine until the instructions told me to locate the "sims" file in SOFTWARE on the regedit.
There isn't a Sims folder to be found? What went wrong now!?

Have you tried looking in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Sims

For your information, if you can enter www.games4theworld.org website, it's mean you can download this fix. Because we host the file on that server.

Then something must be wrong, cause obviously i can enter your site without problems. Been trying to download the fix for a while now, but the page still wont load.

Hi. I tried this fix and it works. Although I currently have a problem. Everytime play, my laptop crashes. All the times I tried playing, that happens. Sometimes after an hour, sometimes just after a few minutes of opening the game. What happens is the game slows down then hangs, then a blue screen will appear (which happens so fast I can't read it) and then my laptop restarts. When it restarts my laptop starts disc checking and then it says that it has been recovered from a serious error.

This is the same problem I encountered in the first fix...

Do you get that blue screen error even you don't play this game ?
I recommend you to update all of your driver. Which you can find the driver from your manufacturer website. Especially Graphic driver. Then if you still face the problem. Let me know.

I've never encountered the blue screen before. It only appears when I play the game...

This may be the blue screen problem which EA knows about. The problem is, neither do they have a fix for it...

I copied and pasted the .rar fix files
Modified the SKU values like the instructions said for vista/windows 7

A new problem exists:
Unable to start game
"Your The Sims 3 Base Game is incompatible with the current Sims 3 Expansion Pack. Please update your game via the game launcher.


If I load up the launcher screen, then it gives me the same error message and the launcher screen freezes.

Please try the following:

1. Uninstall The Sims 3.
2. Restart your PC.
3. Reinstall The Sims 3.
4. Apply this FIX.
5. See if it works now.

So I've been trying to download this file all day and it doesn't work...what's going on?

i did the things as it said in the instruccions, the only difference is that i dont have High End Loft Stuff, i changed my sims 3 base from 3 to 2 and world adventure was 2 already so didnt change it, i did the copu+paste the cracks then i ran the launcher and it still said that the game was uncompatible with my sims 3 base, can i fix it Q.Q? i really wana play sims )=

i updated the sims 3, and updated the sims world advent, how do i update ambitions?

Don't crack it and update to the newer version; then, you'll need the Sims 3 1.17 crack (look in "Downloads" for a Crack topic, not pinned) and if you have Ambitions, the new Ambitions crack (if you have Fast Lane, ignore that, update FL and get the FL crack instead).

Copy/paste and play.

ok, i uninstalled the sims (base and exps), i resseted the pc, i installed the sims 3, i updated the sims 3 with the ea download manager, i installed sims 3 wa, updated with ea manager, i installed ambitions, i cracked base and ambitions because i ran the launcher and the 0.0.0 error eapeared, and it still doesnt work.

my sims 3 base is sku 3
wa sku 2
ambitions sku 1

i tried changing it to
2
2
1

as the instruccions said but it still doesnt work
