How to update my sims 3 and expansion packs

Hi

i followed all the instructions on how to install sims 3 correctly
1.Install the Base Game
2.Install any expansions do you like(do not apply cracks at all)
3.Update your game
4.Appl the ultimate fix
5.Start the game

BUT I DONT KNOW HOW TO UPDATE MY GAME!!1 PLS HELP ME!!!! Help

Hello,

Just doubleclick on it and it will start patching your game. After that, apply the crack from the fix (step 13, #crack folder) and you're good to go.

it is so slow to download.ok i have now the other patch it is TS3_1.31.118.0150xx_update.exe should i use this one to update my game sims 3 showtime and i have for base game too!!

i cancelled the download for TSR_1.33.2.0150xx_update.exe because it is
too slow ,but i have fast internet connection but it is slow!!

Hello,

It's a large patch, so it could easily take up to an hour.
If you have installed Showtime, your game is already game version 1.31, so it serves no purpose, to install the 1.31 again.
The reason we're asking you to download this large patch, is that the 1.32 patch that came before it is very buggy and it's best to skip it by using the 1.33 superpatcher.

hi im new here i just want to..
its my first time to any expansion pack at sims 3 and the 1st i use was the world adventure.. it works fine at first but then when it comes at the creating a new game it says please insert disc or something like that..

of course i get my expansion and sims 3 at piratebay.org by the games4world.
world adventure was issue 2010 if am correct do you think its still going work now. or do i need the other expansion like ambitions late night etc. ?

Hello,

You can try to apply the 1.31 and 1.32 patches, but you'd still need the 1.33 to finish it off. You can attempt to update through the launcher if you want, you'd have to apply the fix as explained in it's Installation Guide and update through the launcher when you get to step 11.
And, there are no guarantees it will work properly since 1.32 is so buggy.

The 1.32 patch caused all kinds of problems, so it's best to skip it.
Your game is 1.33 now?

i'll try the FIX but i think my sims version was already updated to the latest. since i just update it at launcher just now..

where should i see what version am using.. sorry im really everything about this game.

After installing the patch, open the fix and find the #crack folder. Copy both files to your base game\bin and allow them to replace the existing files.

Yes please open a new topic. But I can tell you now, that you need at least one of the following expansions to use the fix: Showtime, Master Suite Stuff, Pets, Town Life Stuff, Generations.

And for base game is
in the #crack folder and Base game folder too?
and for showtime folder copy both files to
c/Program Files(x86)/Electronics Art/Sims 3 Showtime?

And i have Sims3_1.0.632.00002_from_1.0.631.00002.exe
Should i use this?

Hello,

If you've used the manual patch, you shouldn't use any other patches. Now that your game is up to date, only copy the files from the #crack folder to the base game\bin. Don't copy anything at all to the Showtime bin.

Hello,

You only have to do that if you haven't patched yet, now that your game is up to date, copying the crack (from the #crack folder) is enough.
