Question about sims 3!! Empty Question about sims 3!!

I installed the sims 3 base game, generations, high end loft stuff, ambitions, late night, generations, town life stuff, and master suite stuff. i installed the ultimate fix and the game works perfectly now (it gets stuck for a few seconds, but only every now and then).
My question is, why can't I create a new game? I have one game already saved, but it wont let me start a new one without deleting the old one first. Any suggestions?

Hello,

I'm not sure, but try this:
Go to (my) Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Saves and drag&drop your savegames folder to your desktop.
See if you can start a new game now.
You can always put your old savegames back.
