Game region error when updating. [SOLVED] Empty Game region error when updating. [SOLVED]

Hi, I've just tried updating my game to 1.33 and nothing is working. My first attempt to update through the launcher gave me an error regarding my game being in an unknown or incorrect game region. The same thing happened when I tried updating again on Step 11 of the Ultimate Fix. When I tried updating in the same place with the manual patch, it says that the installed version could not be determined. Ultimately, nothing has happened. What should I do?

I just redownloaded and tried again and the same thing happened. The error says: "The installed version of the application could not be determined. The setup will now terminate."

I don't quite know what you mean. I had the Sims 3 installed from a retail copy of the base game, and a few expansions downloaded from here including Master Suite. My SKU is set to 2.

Also, I tried playing with the non-updated version of the game, and ended up getting the unofficial game modification error.

I own the disc, but it's not in my possession right now so it'll be a while before I can do anything if I physically need a copy to fix this.

Hello,

I was just asking because there's sometimes a problem with digital copies.
You may want to ask Admin to have a look, he'll join you in the chatbox if he has time. Join it when you see him online and he may be able to help you.

Hello,

As long as I know, the "Incorrect region" error can be fixed by changing the SKU code in the registry to either 1 or 2. Probably 2.

Not that I know, but if it does, there's no harm in trying, since it's usually related to the SKU.

It doesn't matter if my SKU is set to one or two, the same "installed version could not be determined" error appears when I try to use the manual patch. Where is the chatbox?

Thanks, I'm in the chatbox now. I got the region error when updating via the launcher, so I tried using the manual patch as instructed for when the launcher gave a region error. But as noted above, the manual patch is giving me its own error and no one's told me what to do about it.
