The Sims 3 Lagging/Freezing/Crashing. How fun!!!

Hello!
Lady ElDi said I should open a new topic for some help, so here I am! I've been having problems with my Sims 3 game lagging, freezing up every ten Sim minutes & crashing randomly. I've tried all of the fixes on here, except the disabling of the CC/Mods because those are pretty much my favourite parts of playing the Sims. I tried CC Magic, but couldn't really figure it out. I wouldn't mind getting rid of some CC, but I would hate to play with little/none. I've downloaded Gamebooster & that doesn't seem to do anything either? I'm really not an expert with computers, but am not completely ignorant either. I've only a Windows 7 Toshiba laptop & know that's not great for gaming, but oh well? Anyway, I hope this makes sense since it is after 2 in the morn here. Hope everyone is having a lovely day!
