I don't exactly know, but I think because if they don't, people will go and buy the games from other countries where the games are a lót cheaper than in their own country.

I'm not sure about this, but it sounds fair to me. You may want to do some research on it.

It's all about money. Each region is handled as a separate company, which actually competes with itself if it didn't region lock its consoles. But I love me some epic Japanese fighting games and RPG's.

I Know for ps3, you cannot get gamesaves from usa to uk.

Unsure, unless theres somthing to do with putting a mod chip on you're xbox thatsa from lets say hong kong, to try and crack down on the modding and stuff
