Hi, i don't understand how i can properly download the base game when the instructions here (https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly) tell me not to use the crack folder? I tried installing anyway but the box requesting a serial number came up. Please help, what am i supposed to do? Thank you.

Hello,

Those instructions don't apply if you're going to install just the base game.
But if you want to patch the game, you'll need at least one of the following expansions: Showtime, Master Suite Stuff, Pets, Town Life Stuff or Generations
This is so you can use the fix.

If you only have the base game, and haven't patched it yet, you should use the crack and you'll be able to play.
