If I install the Ultimate fix, can I install more expansions?

So right now I'm confused, if I install 3/7 of the expansions and use the ultimate fix, do I need to re-install the base game and the expansions I want then apply the ultimate fix or can I just install more expansions and apply the ultimate fix

Quick question, I've installed the stuff packs but I haven't
installed any of the expansions packs and 1 of the required packs. I'm
still able to play is this normal or will I encounter something during gameplay?
