Sims 3: Pets Installer

I feel so bad making so many help topics..
Anyway, I'm trying to install pets but the installer says I don't have S3 on my laptop (but I do,) and I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the base game + the expansions but it still refuses to recognise the base game..
I even made a new folder for it to and redirected it to that, to see if it would help, but nothing's changed?

Ok that looks good did the base game have a similar installer?

It was either a zip file or the .app itself can't remember exactly. The other expansions seemed to install fine, so I was just thinking it was the installer itself.. but I could be wrong.

If another expansion installed fine, it would suggest there's something wrong with this particular file.

I installed pets last time -- both the same versions. But it's okay, I'll live.
