Question about installing a stuff pack with a legit base game and expansion.

Hello!

I've read a lot of the guides on here on how to install The Sims 3 from scratch. I however, already have the base game installed and generations (legit copies). So my question is, how does this affect me installing Fast Lane stuff pack, is it possible?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
