Sims 3 torrent no zip file

I've downloaded Sims Medieval, Pirates and Nobles, and now Sims 3 World Adventures from the piratebay website.
Each time it finishes, it shows only a file, not a zip.
They have all shown up as
The Sims_ Medieval [FULL] _ Games4theworld _.file
The Sims Medieval_ Pirates and Nobles [FULL] _ Games4theworld _.file
The Sims 3_ World Adventures [FULL] _ Games4theworld _.file

I double click and it brings up a "what would you like to open this file with" menu.

What am I doing wrong?

I also have The Sims 3 basegame, High End Loft Stuff, and Ambitions installed from the discs, will be possible to install the rest of the expansions from the torrents?

Yeah.

For example, I just downloaded Fast Lane stuff, and its begun seeding, and 100%, but in my downloads folder it's not a zip file, its just a file. White icon, nothing else.

Might there be some setting in winrar or utorrent that I need to set? I'm quite new to using torrents but until this I've had no trouble.

Right click on the "blanco" file and choose "Properties". What file format does it show?

Same thing has happened to me! downloaded two different torrents of Late Night and I don't know what to do.. please help!



Also, I've downloaded both files from thepiratebay.org, and used uTorrent. I downloaded Sims 3 Pets, and had no problems.

rename the .file to .rar and then right click extract here. If there is no opinion like extract in folder and extract here you need to download WinRAR and install it. Hope this helps

uh oh, maybe i spoke too soon... i unzipped it to another folder and now i get this..I try to open the winrar files but it gives me an error, and i don't see the file im supposed to mount...when i try to install it asks me to insert disk 1 that contains caches, etc...something like that

And are you sure the download fully finished downloading in uTorrent?

does it mean anything that the two unopenable WinRar files are .cab files?
