unknown error occurred

This is getting pretty lame now.
For about 3 months, I've tried installing the sims 3 on my mac, and every time I'm done, start the game, a message pops up saying an unknown error occurred.

What is the problem? This time I tried installing supernatural, I copied the crack to the game/bin folder - not the ep folder but the base games folder, what the hell am I doing wrong?
