Sims 3 help( thx)

I was able to complete steps 1-3 to downloaing the sims 3 but now im confussed. I use bitcomet(part of the pirate bay) and my base copy of the sims 3 is not located in the local disk/program files/electronic arts folder. It is located only on my bitcomet download list. how to send it to the correct location?

p.s-i am a noob but all my friends say u rock!

Okay lets say you downloaded the stuff into folder C:\Bitcomet\Torrent\The Sims 3 base game.

Did you install The Sims 3 with typical settings or custom settings?

So it should be installed in what C:\Program Files\EADM\The Sims 3 or C:\Program Files (x86)\EADM\The Sims 3 (or something on that order)

i dont know about the EADM file. (i`m not good with computers) i`m only at the C:\Program Files part.

Do you have a Program Files (x86)? if you do it should be there.

i belive i only have program files

Okay, Did you manage to find EADM? or did it actually install into another place?

Did you recently do that or did I miss reading that? that would have told me you didn't have the folder named with the (x86).

1) i dont know where it is and couldn`t find it

2) sorry i just remembered i had a 32-bit so thats recent

Do a search for TS3.exe, if you do have it will be in The Sims 3 folder.

I found the 1.38 upddate and TS3W couldn`t find TS3.exe

Try to re-install The Sims 3 base.

Edit: Also you using WinRAR to open up the .rar files you got from the torrent client download?

Follow the directions with WinRar, and then use WinRar to extract the .rar files your downloaded, and then try to reinstall The Sims 3 with that.



Also, it's recommended to edit your post instead of multiple posting if it hasn't been very long.

which rar file and just go ahea and reinstall the sims 3 base game and pets?

All your .rar files, since the different extractors can mess up, so it's recommended to use the same program to extract as the one used to compress.

Extract the .rar files you downloaded with your torrent.

Then try to install The Sims 3 with those files.

Ok so 4 this being my firt time downloading i`m finally kinda getting it. I just don`t understand this step:


4. Open the "# Crack" folder in the Fix and drag & drop
the .exe and .dll file in there to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and choose
"Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the
files already exist in that folder.

i dont have this folder,so what do i do?

That would only be displayed for 64 bit OS.

Look for just C:\Program Files\The Sims 3\Game\Bin
