Ridiculous Crashing and a Question.[SOLVED]
First off, I have gone days leafing through forums to find an answer to my problem, and so far, I've found none. I THINK I may know the cause, and so I have come here to ask to make sure. Okay.
Every since the 1.38 patch, my game crashes during the following:
-In Create a Household/CAS
-Sometimes during actual gameplay
-When moving in a new household
-when merging a household with another
I have gone through others' threads and performed the Ultimate fix and checked out the lag forum in which step 6 was to be looked at. My computer is still new, not even a year old and a high quality Pavilion dv7. So that Game booster did not help me. So I am asking for your opinion/help.
My question. Not ALL of my expansion packs are from Games4theWorld. Why? Because when I first got the game, I was not aware of your presence (now that I have come to know your work and efforts to help players, you're amazing!). I have a few of my downloads as .iso files that I applied to my F drive in order to play (with PowerISO software). ALL of those worked perfect, until I reached the patch. When it was finally cleared up, I got your Supernatural download and my game keeps crashing. It's awful.
Does this mean I should redownload everything as YOUR files instead of my .iso torrents to use? Please let me know. It will be a pain..but, I can make it happen.
Other info:
I have every expansion pack up to Supernatural.
I have version 1.38.
I use package files but these are CAS parts. Hair, clothing, body parts., or objects, like a pose player.
My Mods include Woohooer, version 1.38.
I ran my game with, and without my mods and the problem still persists.
If I need to replace my expansion packs with all of yours, then wow..but, at least I will have found the answer!
Thank you for your time.

Hello,
First of all, welcome to the Forum!
I'm not sure from your post: did you actually run GameBooster and tested the game or just assumed your PC should be capable of running the game and didn't use GameBooster?
As for the .ISO's, you can unmount everything related to The Sims 3 and play without anything mounted or any The Sims 3 disc inserted, as long as you follow these instructions: games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1171-must-read-how-to-install-the-sims-3-correctly (Assuming you followed these prior to posting your post?)
Try backing up and removing the following folder completely: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\

Re: Ridiculous Crashing and a Question.[SOLVED]
I tested it with my game, yes. I don't even experience lag within my game, it's just the crashing.
As for my ISO files, none are mounted when I play. I'm aware on how to install, but my Sims 3 base game file is not yours, Games4theWorld. It's another file completely. I'm assuming this might be why I have problems? Though it hasn't been an issue since 1.38/Supernatural.
I shall give your steps a chance, I suppose. It's just going to be a pain since everything already is installed. I'll try what you suggested I supposed.

Re: Ridiculous Crashing and a Question.[SOLVED]
Hello,
Try it first and if it didn't work, please tell us where you got your base game from.
And is it modified?

Re: Ridiculous Crashing and a Question.[SOLVED]
My merging families seems a bit better but my CAS and mving in
households is still crashing horribly. Below is where I got my base
game, about two months ago. Below my base game is the instructional
video I used to install it. (since I'm new I can't post so just remove the spaces)
BASE GAME:
Youtube VIDEO: watch ? v = w p u w E w I w Y e 8
Some
of my expansion packs are from other sources too, not just from
Games4theWorld but I think the base might be the problem. If this is the
case, I might have to uninstall my games and reinstall yours. They're
much more trustful as I've come to learn.
Thank you so much fr your support! I hope this helps out.

Hello,
That base game should work just fine though.
Try lowering all in-game graphics and turn of stuff like "Smooth rendering" and do play in windowed mode too. Let us know the result.
Good luck!

Re: Ridiculous Crashing and a Question.[SOLVED]
Ugh, just crashed on me. I lowered everything in my graphics,(wow sims look awful on low detail xD) windowed, I don't play full screen anyway, and my game crashed as I was creating a sim. I can't express how frustrating this is!
It was perfect until 1.38. I really might just back up my saves, sims and everything and just uninstall my games and reinstall every one of them as your downloads. A lot of mine aren't from you, but I doubt an expansion pack could ruin it.
I'm just really upset this, it was working so well until now. I don't know, unless I get more ideas, I'll just try my first though and reinstall them all. Sorry if this went no where, and thank you very much for your help.

Re: Ridiculous Crashing and a Question.[SOLVED]
First just try to uninstall Supernatural, reboot, and re-install Supernatural, and try to play it some, and say the results.

Re: Ridiculous Crashing and a Question.[SOLVED]
I gave that a shot as well. CAS is just shot as well as many other aspects I named before. I really have no idea what to do at this point.

Re: Ridiculous Crashing and a Question.[SOLVED]
When I created my thread, I already stated I had tried this. But thanks for offering again. I'll figure it out myself. I'm just going to start from scratch again and backup my data. So, yeah. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again for you help in trying to help me sort this mess. I'll get it somehow.
//EDIT
Hello! After reinstalling all of my expansion packs (total pain), my game is running faster than ever and finally working beautifully! I followed your steps of course when reinstalling, and voila. However I'm still unsure of what my problem was before this. Maybe something was corrupt or int he wrong location since it was all perfect before I installed Supernatural. Whatever the cause might have been, I'm running it right now as we speak (no custom content or mods quite yet) and it's great. Thank you for your help here, especially the steps I had redone. Have a great night
