Sims 3 + Expansions immediately crash. [SOLVED]

I followed all the steps in downloading the sims 3 + expansions.
I installed first, updated the games, installed night life and cracked the games - still crashed.
So, I downloaded the Sims 3 Fix, followed the instructions once again; replace the items in each folder for base game andeach expansion - no updated was needed, so I continued to crack all games - still crash.

What exactly is wrong? I'm not quite sure what information I should include..
I've been through this process for 3 times now. Maybe it's my computer?

Do you get an error after the crash?

No error. It freezes, black screen with a white border and a busy cursor. Then it crashes to desktop.

Even just the Sims 3 game crashes. My computer is compatible for Sims 3, HELs, Ambitions, World Adventures and Night Life. Yes base game and all expansions.

Then I think it's 'the' EA problem; the game randomly crashes to people.

Should I re-apply the items in each folder + cracks?

Edit// I have applied the fix - no updated came up when I refreshed. So I continue and apply the cracks. Still crash.
Edit// I went to the Sims 3 Mods folder, on my own hunch, and saw there were some packages. I deleted them,restartedand did the fix again and it works.
