Game Crashes when I try to go into build mode Empty Game Crashes when I try to go into build mode

Everything in the game worked fine. I created my family, moved them to a lot and when I went to start building the house, I clicked on build mode and the game crashed. Any idea what's going on???

What Expansions do you have?
Does this occur for every family and every town, or just the one?

Might have to re-install your base-game + expansions.

Do you have mods/cc?
Any errors at all when you start the game.

I do have some clothes and a few cars from fresh prince so I should delete those???

Hello,

No, just remove all your mods/cc temporarily to see if they're the cause of the problem.
But you could try 2 things at once, go to Documents\Electronic Arts, make a backup of the The Sims 3 folder, then delete it. Now start the game, a new folder is generated that has new caches and no mods.
Start a testgame to see if the problem persists.

I removed the cc and mods and now it's giving me the disc error Sad

The launcher is also indicating that I don't have the expansions that came after showtime.

Hello,

Did you by any chance use a noCD mod instead of a crack?
The disc error should be gone if you apply the crack from the fix.

Hello,

What if you completely backup and remove this folder: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\ (Don't put it back yet!)

Does it still give you the "No disc inserted error"?
