Sims 3 Question

I may be mistaken, but all of the cracks for The Sims 3 are so you can play it without the disk right? Well, would you need the cracks if you burned your own disks? I'm simply curious because the keys work well enough. Or is the crack also applied to the keys themselves?

I'm fairly certain you will need the cracks even while using a burned disk. I tested by mounting an iso, and tried playing without the crack. The game loaded all the way, then gave an error message like 'could not validate', and exited.

Yes, "Cracks" (also known as "NoCD or NoDVD") make it possible for you to play a game without the actual disc needed to be inserted. You can also use this for legal games you have on a disc, so you can store the disc and play without it.

The serial keys included with The Sims 3 and any other torrents are NEVER legal codes. These are "special" codes, used to bypass only the launcher and nothing else. For example, when you don't apply the crack for The Sims 3 and try to start the game, it'll ask you for your (legal) registration code. If you now try to insert codes from the keygen / Installation Guide, it won't work, because these aren't legal keys.
