Sims 3 problem. [SOLVED] Empty Sims 3 problem. [SOLVED]

Post by Guest Thu 17 Mar 2011, 10:00

Hello. I registered here just to ask for help at my sims 3 problem.
So I tried that fix after I installed all eps(nu stuffs) andwhen I tried to update Late night it still said 'invalid file found'.
Then I installed OLS and applied the fix (but there were no updates avalaible).
However, the game started well and then at the loading screen there was a black screen just with the loading bar and the things written under it(which formed a green bar Wat. )
When it came the screen where I needed to chose a town it was all nomal except the fact that the little icon next to the town name wasn't there.
After I picked the town it loaded a little then the game crashed.

Another question. I have read that you need to put the priginal files and the cracks in the fix in the program files/electronic arts/the sims 3 late night/game/bin, but I have installed my game somewhere else but still put them in game/bin. Is it a problem?

Hello,

First of all, you have to place the cracks in the folder where you installed the game to and then "Game/bin", so what you did is correctly, otherwise the game wouldn't start at all.

Try this, please: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t857-the-sims-3-crashes-to-desktop-fix

Hello,

Do you have any Custom / Downloadable Content in-game?
Also, what is your game version at the moment?

Hello,

Ok, please try the following:

1. COMPLETELY uninstall The Sims 3 + All Expansions + Delete all the folders of Custom Contents.
2. Restart your PC.
3. Install The Sims 3 base game, but DO NOT APPLY any cracks!
4. Install any expansions you like, but DO NOT APPLY any cracks!
5. Install Late Night and Outdoor Living Stuff, but DO NOT APPLY any cracks!
6. Apply this fix: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-latest-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems
7. See if it works now.

Yay! Now it works! I'll play more to see if everything's alright but now it is loading and I can go into towns.
It seems that I just needed to reinstall everything because I didn't really applied that fix... I just applied the crack for outdoor living stuff.
However thank you so much fo help:)`

Admin edit: You're welcome. Have fun playing! Problem solved, topic closed. Wink
