I have all expansions besides ambitions and High-End Loft Stuff and I've applied the ultimate fix and my game runs fine, but I tried installing a dog from the exchange on sims3 website and it gives this error when i try to install it in the launcher:
Unable to start game
Service initialization failed (0x02957b48)

What Do? Help

Well my game was working right before I tried installing the exchange content. Now it's not..

Hello,

Do you have any idea if it installed fully or partially? I think your next step should be to try a clean The Sims 3 folder. Go to Documents\Electronic Arts, and backup and remove the The Sims 3 folder (or rename it) and see if your game will start.

I did just that messing around with it to see what the problem could be and that didn't do the trick either. :c
