sims 3 crashing

Hi , my game crashes to desktop in the middle of the game with this error "Sims 3 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will notify if a solution is found." after playing like 1 hour or so, in CAS , Buy mod, edit town, this just happens. My game version is 16.0.136.019001 . I have the latetst version of your ultimate fix too and I downloaded seasons , supernatural , pets , show time and high end loft stuff. I removed mods and ran the game with out CC but still it crashed , do you know what I should do?

and applied the manual patch ?

if you did , Try backing up and removing this folder, please: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\

restart your game and see if it works and post the result

hopefully admins will help too soon

Are you using any mods or cc?

Yes I have lots of CC but I ran the game with out CC and the game still crashed , this error comes up:

I looked at some other posts here and I learned that there is not a solution for such error I uses to play sims 3 before but I think after installing supernatural this happend or after updating maybe

I used to have this crash too ,but I fixed it, mine was due to the fact I download bad copies from some sites ,then I redwonloaded everything from G4TW and it worked.

Did you back up your WHOLE sims 3 folder and remove it(not only your CC but the whole folder of sims 3) and tried to launch your game again, it can be a problem of corrupted savings.

it can also be a problem of DEP.. but you said after installing supernatural you started having this problem ,did you apply the utlimate fix AGAIN after installing supernatural ?

Yes I uninstalled and reinstalled my games and all the packs for about 10 times and once with out supernatural to see if it was the problem but still the game crashed, My Pets and katy perry's sweet treats are not downloaded from G4TW.
I will now remove my sims 3 folder to see if it works

If it doesn't work, run the following command:

%systemroot%\syswow64\regedit /E "%userprofile%\Desktop\Sims3.reg" HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Sims

It will put a file on your desktop called "Sims3.reg" - right click on it, select "Edit" then copy and paste all of the information in it please.

I removed sims 3 folder and played and it didn't crash anymore!!! I think it's fixed now, I just have to download some CC again

Hello, I have the exact same problem dela.k used to have, the exact same message and everything. So, how do I back- up the sims 3 folder? I just copy it, and delete it, and put it...where? And also, is the latest fix also necessary? If so, can someone link me to it?

I'm glad it finally worked , but I think not all CC are corrupted ,just the savings of the game.Anyway enjoy your game.

Admins and helpers of this forum have helped me once so I'm trying to learn from them
