Ultimate fix problem

I have most of the ep's, and when applying the most recent fix, I followed every step exactly, but my game won't update and now it says I need the Showtime disc in order to play. I have also downloaded the manual fix and that doesn't open at all. I have never had problems before and I feel like a bit of an idiot knowing that I'm having them now. I also notice that now the "dfc-gorillas" by whomever is popping up to update my game, after that is when I get the invalid file error. I'm so confused. Help please!!

Hello there,

If we look again at this here you will see that there is a so-called "manual patch" for the game (I suppose you meant this when you said "manual fix" ?). Apply this patch first. If you cannot open it, try downloading it with another internet browser.
After patching you will have to apply the so-called "Ultimate fix". Apart from the base game, you will need at least one of the following expansions to get it working: 70s, 80s, & 90s Stuff, Seasons, Supernatural, Diesel Stuff, Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats, Showtime, Master Suite Stuff, Pets, Town Life Stuff, Generations.
You should read the instructions very carefully; if you correctly apply the fix there should be no "Insert disc" prompt.
Restart the computer, then start the game.

I got the game working after applying the crack but haven't tried to update it again. I will do that soon and report back what happens.
