Ultimate Fix + 1.55 Game Update Question

Hey guys, sorry if this has been asked already but I didn't see any other threads asking specifically what I am. I'm trying to figure out what steps I have to take to update my cracked game. I have a Mac. I downloaded my base game from a torrent site and my Generations and Seasons expansions packs from here, and I used the Ultimate Fix cracks. Everything has been working fine. My game version is 16.0.136.021001 currently and I have an update for 1.55. It's not a priority that I update it, I'm sure my game will continue running smoothly if I don't but I would feel more at ease knowing that everything is updated and stable. 

So long story short, my question is that for updating my game, do I need to download the newest Mac version of the Ultimate Fix, apply the cracks and then update via the game launcher, and the manual update if that fails? Or is it suggested that I just apply the cracks and manually update? Do I even have to apply the cracks when I update my game or can I just update it? I'm worried about updating anything at all or messing around with cracks since my game is running fine now and I don't want anything to mess it up. Sorry for sounding repetitive and for the confusion, I'm just not sure of the protocol when updating a cracked game. Thanks in advance!

I actually had issues with the automatic update so I used the manual update. Since I had issues with the automatic update, I first tried without the cracks and then with the cracks for the automatic update. However, I still had issues and just used the manual update which worked like a charm. After the update I still copied the crack again just to be on the safe side. Have not had a chance to really try to play some of my game but I did have issues before with random crashing. Have recently learned it might be the graphics (screen size). So I don't have a smooth (no issues) game as far as I know  but may try the new expansion pack to see if it helps. I might try messing with the settings too, might fix it.


Edit: As well you should apply the new cracks when you update otherwise you might run into issues (which is why a new crack was needed).
