Just to make it clear

Hi,

I hope i'm not opening an useless thread (don't hate me please ). I'm using a MAC and I just need to clarify what should i do to make the sims 3 finally work. i've had a look on basically every thread about it in this forum, but i can't get an exact list of things i have to do to make everything work.
this is what i've done so far:
-downloaded the sims 3 (base game), installed it and done all the .exe and .dll files thing
-downloaded the sims 3 generations, installed it and applied the fix on both the base game and generations, following the guide included in the .rar file.

i unrared all the files i got from the torrents with suffit expander 2009. It still doesn't work.
what i get is "an unknown error occurred" as soon as i double click on the launcher.

i'll give up soon don't let me do it

happy to tell you that i reinstalled generations w/o applying any fix, and now it seems to be working love this random things. i'm trying with late night now, hope it's gonna work as well.

I had the same problems applying the Generations fix. It goes well but when you update it from the launcher, same thing goes, Unknown Error pops up. Then I won't be able to play the game anymore.

So I tried this with generations and it didn't work. I'm at a brick wall.
