Stuck Sims

Elderly Mother and Toddler are stuck sitting on the floor whilst Mum is teaching the toddler to talk. I tried exiting without saving but when I reload the game they are still there, on the kitchen floor, getting more and more unhappy with each passing second. Cant cancel the action, or at least have tried and there is a big red X on it but the icon remains in the top left of the screen. I can line up whatever actions I want after that, and cancel any or all of them, and the icons disappear, but not the one for teaching the toddler to talk.

I have also already deleted the World Cache folder, and tried in game "resetsim". Neither have made any difference.

All expansion and stuff packs installed.
Base Game installed from disc.
Some expansions installed from disc.
Some installed via your amazing site.
Pets, Supernatural, and University installed via Origin.
All Stuff packs via your amazing site.

Moderate amount of CC installed from The Exchange and The Sims Resource.

NO MODS INSTALLED (I know right!!)

Ok - computer tech info:

Windows 7 64 bit
Intel Core i7 - 3770
8gb Ram
AMD Radeon 7950

Sims is installed on a SSD.

If you can help this poor tired and recently elderly Mother, and the sweet and adoring daughter that will one day take over her Resort Empire, they would both thank you from the bottom of their pixelated hearts!

Hello,

Are you sure you are typing the correct sim name when resetting sims using "resetsim"? Have you held the keys Ctrl+Shift+C and type "testingcheatsenabled true" and enter before resetting sims?
You can also try deleting the following:

-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"

Thankyou Cat!! I rolled my eyes, thinking I've already tried that........ tried again anyway...... and they both stood up!!! Must have been misspelling their names!!

Hello,

the maintenance staff are in the resort, but it's very common that they don't repair stuff. It is not known if it is a glitch or not. If you cannot see any of your staff, read this. Make sure your mods and custom content are up-to-date.

Yeah - I read that post already. Mine are a bit different in that NO cleaning is being done, puddles dry up on their own if I cant get my sim to them, toilets and sinks stay dirty, beds remain unmade. The cost of the staff appears in the finances window, but even with high quality staff, nothing is being done. Sad

It seems that your CC or mods may be causing the issue. Can you try removing them?

I have no mods installed at all and only a small amount of cc - thought 60 or 70 items was a lot til I started reading these forums lol
