How can I download the Sims 3 expansions without downloading other things? [SOLVED]

I went to games4theworld's link where it shows all of the downloads they provide. I tried to get some expansions for Sims 3 but I ended up quitting because of so many other downloads that would interfere with the process of downloading the expansion (Weatherbug, etc...) that had many potential viruses. These things were giving me up pop ups and programs that I just didn't want on my computer. Or maybe I am doing something wrong? How can I successfully download the expansions without getting these weird programs?

Hello,
You're most likely doing something wrong. If you're downloading from our TPB account, then you're most likely clicking on the fake "Click here to download" ads.
I recommend downloading from www.games4theworld.org . We don't have any ads on that website.

Hi,
I'm not sure what exactly it was that you downloaded... I'd suggest you uninstall it ASAP and do a virus scan/adware scan. Could you also provide a screenshot or link to the website you downloaded the games from?

If you are adding expansions to your already installed base-game, please download all expansions you want, install all of them and then follow the steps provided within the link above.

Ah, yes that must have been the issue! I was clicking on the ads that posed as the download button. My bad! Thank you so much.
