The Sims 2 Complete Collection issues.

I want to start off by saying, I do apologize if this is not in the correct section. I do not know if help for this is still being entertained. I know EA is no longer providing support of the sims 2. I downloaded the sims 2 via piratebay a couple of days ago. I was able to install it just fine. However, when I started it up I noticed that the game looked horrible. The edges were not smooth and the graphics looked very poor. I have a fairly decent laptop. My specs are Nvidia Geforce GTX 850m card, I also have intel graphics, intel core i7 processor, and windows 10 home edition 64 bit . I made sure that the game was running with the nvidia video card. I do know and understand that the sims 2 is not suppose to be compatible with windows 10, but after some research, I found people who said it ran just fine on windows 10. I did some google research and found out about how to change graphics rules in the game to allow 1080p gameplay and smooth edges. It was running just fine for a moment......  Then I tried to add some CC. I found the EA games folder and inside was a Sims 2 folder. I created a folder, naming it Downloads. I put the stuff in there and tried to restart the game. It wouldn't get pass the loading screen. It kept getting stuck at rotation ceiling fans. So I took the downloads folder out, with all of the cc and started it up again. I ran into the exact same problem. I decided maybe the whole folder was corrupt, and deleted it. I started the game back up and it worked just fine. Unfortunately, when I tried to change the screen size to 1920x1080 and smooth the edges, it takes forever. I have to do ctrl+alt+delete and choose task manager. Finally a screen pops up telling me that the sims 2 is now terminating. I just want to know how to run in in 1080p and smooth the edges without crashing, and if I can install CC, how to do it? The CC never did show up in the game, the few times I got lucky and it started up. If any of this is even possible, knowing the game isn't compatible with windows 10 please let me know. Thanks!

Two things
It takes a long time to run a lot of custom content
And it takes a short time to run a little custom content

PS: You can't change resolution without a Graphic Fix, Leefish has one for Windows 10
And Graphics Rules Maker has one that lets you choose what to Fix.

Hello, I just tried it and got the same results. When I started the game back up it was running with the 1080p screen and with smooth edges. Unfortunately, I keep getting stuck on the loading screen right at ceiling rotation. I have no custom content in the game as well. I did notice that every time I delete the EA games folder in my documents, I am able to start up the game but the settings of smooth edges and 1080p screen are lost. The folder regenerates. So basically, it is a vicious cycle. After deleting the folder, I restart the game, and set the settings back to 1080 and smooth edges, it takes forever, I use ctrl+alt+delete, when the game comes to it'll tell me that the changes were applied, but I can clearly see that they aren't because everything looks as it did before. I go ahead and quit the game after all that. When I restart it, I can see the 1080 screen and everything looks better. Then I get stuck on that loading screen right at ceiling rotation. I eventually have to do ctrl+alt+delete again. Then I get a error message telling me something along the lines that the sims 2 crashed and will now terminate 

Yes, I just tried it after applying the settings suggested. Unfortunately, now my loading screen bar is only loaded half and stopping at overwaxing banisters. I wonder is it because I did the graphics fix. I switched out the original graphics rules file, for the one that corresponded with my graphics card, nvidia. I also had already gone in and edited the high resolution part to 1920x1080 already. I just put the 3 in where it was suggested, and did the 1920x1080 in the rest of the resolutions. I waited for about 7 minutes and figured it was stuck. I did the ctrl+alt+delete once again and got that error saying that it had crashed and was now going to terminate.
