Sims 3 program files

Hello,
I've been trying to dl the sims 3 on my computer and I've followed the guide but I'm stuck on step 5 bc i dont have a program file x86 for EA and the one for origin games is empty. Does this mean that I cant play the games? How can i fix this problem?

Most probably you have a 32-bits windows in which case you don't have a folder Program Files(x86).
Look at Program Files instead.

Welcome to the forum @taeguk,
If you don't have a Program files (x86) folder it means your Windows is a 32-bit version. In that case, copy and paste the files into C:\Program files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin instead.

Okay so I found the folder but it only has two items in it. Is that normal? I checked the one for the sims 4 and that folder has a bunch of other folders for mods and other items in it

Where exactly did you find the folder? And what are the names of the items that are inside?

Okay so I re-did the process all over again but now I only have a EA folder that's under the program data of my computer. In that EA folder there's EA Core and EA services. At this point im just completely lost and don't know what to do because the first time I did the process I had two EA folders and now I only have one.

Search on your computer for the file Sims3Launcher.exe then you'll find the installationfolder.

Maybe a very stupid question.
Do you have a Windows computer or do you have a Mac ?
When you have a Windows PC then you must have at least a folder Program Files

Do you have any other software installed on the computer ? If you have desktop shortcuts of other programs, right-click on the shortcut and choose "Properties". It doesn't matter for now what program(s) you have. Just try for now.
An example from my own computer. Go to the tab named "Shortcut" and then click on the button "Open file location". What happens after that - does it show you the proper location ?
