Installing expansions with the base game already bought.

Hello,
I bought The Sims 3 on Origin and was wondering what steps I have to take to install all the expansions. I downloaded the complete edition off this website and tried to follow along with the guide but when I went to install the crack, it said that I didn't have the sims 3 installed on my computer.

Hello,
Well, it shouldn't be too much of a problem, as long as your game hasn't been updated to 1.69 by Origin. You'll have to disable automatic updates.
Other than that, it should work exactly like with a pirated base game, except your base game is installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\... instead of C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\...

It actually is updated. can I uninstall the update?

Hello,
Probably not. You'd have to uninstall that Origin basegame completely, and then go for a pirated base game. "Re-downloading" the Origin basegame wouldn't do anything here, since it will still update to 1.69, automatically. Sorry I can't offer an easier solution.

You can turn off automatic updates in Origin, but it will probably be easier, and more convenient, to simply install the pirated base game as well.

I tried installing the Sims 3 setup and got these error codes

Try using WinRAR, instead of 7-zip, to unpack the contents of the .RAR.
