Bad butlers

I got my sim really rich and rented him the best penthouse in City Living. Got him a butler too. The thing is, the butler doesn't do much besides look after his own needs and stand around. I kept asking him to cook my sim a meal and he wouldn't. Is this supposed to happen? As in, are some butlers good at their jobs and some aren't? Or is this a bug?

Does anyone know of a alternate no mosaic mod? I tried applying moxiemason's no mosaic mod and it doesn't work. He said it wouldn't ever have to be updated, but now it doesn't work.

Looks like the problem is they do not prioritize. The tasks do not stack in in their que, even despite adjusting their traits. I hope someone comes up with a fix for this.

Hi,

I've read the comments for the mod and it seems that the mod did not in fact need updating until Toddlers (there is an update). There were others who had problems with the mod and upon checking, the problem lay with other mods. Even if you do download the new update it won't work because of the game version.

My advice is to remove all mods and cc and re-add them one by one until you find the problem. It's a tedious task but it helps.

I personally have a 'Test' folder within my Mods folder. Any new mods and/or cc goes into that folder and if there is a problem I know which one to remove. If the mod/cc works fine I put it in with the others.

do you have any mods? or any kid in that household? You wrote you want some but if you have already any other baby or child in that household and they or their bed/bassinet are too close to the parents bed than that's the problem. If not maybe reinstalling would help or your save file is corrupt

or maybe you can try if they can try for baby in bushes or the observatory or in a closet. I'm still looking for other answers too

Maybe try reset your folders. You can change the name of your Sims4 (Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4) folder to for example "Sims 4 backup"
Then you start your game without moving back any of your previous files. This will create a new Sims 4 folder in your Documents. Start a new game with a random couple, try for baby.
If it works, hurray and you can try to copy your tray files, saves and mods (if you have any).
If not-try reinstall the game.

The fix doesn't work properly and maybe your antivirus/windows firewall detected as a virus and blocked it.

I know this is frustrating but if the antivirus thing doesn't work, I'd reinstall again and make sure the antivirus don't run at the time and add the installation folder as an exception before turning back the program and run the game.

Later I find some post about some cc (which shouldn't do anything with woohoo) are actually causing some of these issue. If you can install the game again and try again playing the game and still have the issue, I suggest the half-half method where you move out half of your cc and try out if it works that way (and you continue to half again and again until you found the culprit).

You're welcome Sometimes the Sims 4 Mod Conflict detector helps but the only certain way to find which one is the problem is the half-half method. I have 3300 mod/cc files in my Mods folder so I know how painful it could be XD
