The Sims 4 not responding [SOLVED]
I realize the topic title is a little vague but that's the best way to describe it. I've tried every single repack out there and at first they work fine, but after creating a Sim and placing it in my world and then quitting the game it somehow messes up and when I try to start the game it shows a white screen and then it hits me with the TS4.exe has stopped working error... any idea whats causing this? Cause I sure as hell don't

Hi there,
Have you tried moving your saves/mods folder out and run the game? Also, when it crashed, do you happen to see the log details?

Good day!
Yes, I've tried that, but it didn't fix it. No I didn't see any details, the error message is as vague as the problem, it only tells me it stopped responding and not much else.
Also, the normal 32bit exe works fine although it's in russian and in a low resolution. It's just the 64bit exe that's refusing to start up.
My specs:
i5 6500
GTX 1060 6gb
the game is installed on a 120gb SSD

Well your specs certainly isn't the problem and i've installed the game on my hard disk so i doubt it's actually your pc, unless of course your system is 32bit.Stubbs wrote:

For the 32bit, are you able to change the resolution in game? The language can be change either through registry first then RldOrigin.ini or straight to RldOrigin.ini. Do you have any lastCrash or lastException.txt in your Documents folder?

My system is 64 bit, and the 32bit exe basically is the game functioning all properly and I can play it normally. I'd still like it play the 64bit version tho so it can take advantage of extra ram.
I found a lastCrash file in the folder and this is inside it, I hope it has any meaning to you...

Re: The Sims 4 not responding [SOLVED]
I fixed it! Kind of. Turns out MSI Afterburner and Sims don't get along. I don't know if you know but Afterburner is a program you can use to monitor GPU usage, temperatures and all that stuff while playing games.
Somehow the program crashes The Sims 4 on startup. Everything works fine when I completely disable Afterburner. I hope they fix it sometime but hey at least I can play now.
Thanks for your help, hope you have a nice day!
