Sims 4 Parenthood Problem

So I realised that from time to time there will be a speech-pop up by the teen and we're supposed to select options. Selections will affect the teen. But the problem is, there is only ONE option given which is not supposed to be the case....
There should be various options....
Please help?

You will get more options for these pop-ups as you progress into the parenting skill. EX: Level 1 Parenting will show fewer options than Level 6 Parenting. Hope this helps!

I am new to the forum... I don't know if this is the right thread to post my problem but oh well.  I installed parenthood yesterday and I seem to be having some issues with the game. for example i can't seem to set the table or interact with the family board thingy.  If i click on the ground with one of my children sims they can't make a mess and none of their character value skills are going up? Am I the only one who is experiencing this? Please help
