sims 3 problems [SOLVED]

i have downloaded and installed the sims 3 expansions according to your instructions. i applied the ultimate fix, and am still having problems. when i open up the sims 3 application from the bin file, it starts to load, but just has a black screen and says ' Unable to start game. Service initialization failed (0x024e424f)' This is for both the TS3 and TS3W. I followed your instructions as spelled out, both in the fix all and on your website.

Hello,
This problem could be caused by several different things. Two important things to look at are:
-Mods or CC. If you have any, remove them from your game.
-The fix. If the fix is incompatible with your game version, or the crack is misplaced, this error might come up. So what you need to do, check your game version as shown in the image below, and make sure you have the latest fix and applied its crack to the proper folder.

Sorry for responding so late, when you were so timely. I've had some internet trouble the last couple of days.

I have no CC or mods. I downloaded all my games from torrents hosted by games4theworld. I am very confident that I copied the cracks over into the correct locations.

My Game Launcher, however, has a different version than the one pictured. I am listed as having version 10.0.96.013001

Hello,
Its the base game version that's really interesting and I have a feeling that your game isn't up to date, which could be the cause of your problem if the fix is. Hover your mouse pointer over the base game icon as shown in the picture to find out your base game version. If you have the latest fix, your base game should be version 1.29.

Oh. My bad. Version number is shown, when hovering over the icon, as 1.26.89.013017

Hello,
Use this manual patch, and apply the crack from the fix again. Your game should work now, just make sure you have the latest fix.

i thought it was working. D: now it opens, but once totally opened, it says no disk found.

Hello,
That means there's something with the crack, it could be misplaced or outdated. When did you download the fix, and could you please post a screenshot of the folder you copied the crack to?

I downloaded the fix just a few days ago. i followed the instructions from the installation guide included in the fix all. which crack did you want a screenshot of? if it's the #crack folder containing Mods, i included the screen shot of where that file was copied over to.

Hello,
Your mention of mods makes me think that you got the temporary fix in stead of the official fix.
The best thing to do is remove the files from the temporary fix, and get the latest official fix instead. Since you already updated the game, you'll only have to do step 15 in the #Installation Guide.

Superb! It seems to be working fine now. Thank you for all your help. Just a suggestion, maybe think about consolidating all of your help information. There seems to be a lot of different threads around that say different things. And the fix all I originally got from this site had different instructions from the one in the link on your signature. But again, thank you so much for being so helpful. =]
