Households will not load

My households have a flashing thumbnail and will not open. The thumbnail repeatedly flashes white, and applies to every single household in my game. I can go into build mode on the house itself, but can't actually play the game.

I'm at a loss. I cleaned out my mod folder, took them out completely, and no dice. I recently installed jungle adventure and my first pet, alongside the update. Anyone else having this issue? or any known fix for this?

Are you new to Games4theworld's Downloads? If so, keep in mind that there is an install order of items, that needs to be kept strictly:

If that is too much of a hassle (it will be, if you are a new user), then we have also various all-in-one versions. Choose between the one from Sim Architect or Tarac.
